To reduce lubricating oil pollution on the products, color sorters usually use oil-free air compressors to produce compressed air as power, but compressed air is often supplied by the atmosphere, which contains particles, smoke, water, and oil vapor. Therefore, without effective compressed air filters, the optical elements of the color sorter will be contaminated. In order for color sorters to operate properly, compressed air must meet ISO 8573-1 standards.
